Travel

The workshop will take place in The Netherlands, on the modern TU Delft Campus at the EEMCS Faculty, just outside the beautiful historic city of Delft. The address of the conference venue is:

Travel by Airplane

The main airport in the Netherlands is Schiphol Airport. From Schiphol Airport it is just a 40 minute train ride to Delft. You could buy an e-ticket online or buy a single-use smart card from the NS (Netherlands railway) service counter or a NS ticket machine, both located in the arrival hall. A single fare costs about €10. Alternatively you could use a taxi. A taxi stand is located directly outside the arrival hall at Schiphol Airport. A one-way trip to Delft costs about €60.

Travel by Train

International trains typically arrive in either Utrecht or Amsterdam, from where you can take a train to Delft. This takes approximately 60 minutes from both Utrecht and Amsterdam. You could buy an e-ticket online or buy a single-use smart card from the NS (Netherlands railway) service counter or a NS ticket machine. A single fare costs about €10.

Travel by Car

There are two main parking slots on the campus that are close to the conference venue. Both are free of charge.
  • At the back side of the conference building: Navigate to Feldmannweg, 2628 KV, Delft.
  • Next to the university library: Navigate to Van der Waalsweg, 2628 CH, Delft.

From Delft train station to the conference venue

  • Walking: Approximately 25 minutes. Click here for a map.
  • By Bus: The bus terminal is just outside the train station. You can take bus 40, bus 69, and bus 174 and get off at the stop ‘TU-Mekelpark’, which is right in front the conference venue. You can also take bus 55 and get off at the stop ‘TU-Aula’, five minutes walking to the conference venue. It is about 10 minutes from Delft station to the conference venue by bus. Tickets can be bought from the bus driver. A one-way ticket costs €4. See here for the latest bus time table.
  • By Taxi: The taxi stand is next to the bus terminal, just outside the train station.
